¿Que ha pasado? ¿dónde estamos? ¿que
hemos hecho? ¿Hacia donde vamos?
Esas preguntas me vienen a la mente
constantemente, me supongo que no soy el único, pero quiero mencionarles
algo que ha sido de bendición en estos pasados meses, como contestando esas
preguntas que me he hecho constantemente últimamente, a lo mejor tu deberías
hacértelas también.
Hemos planeado y ejecutado una campaña
en la Congregación Nueva vida, aquí en Tijuana en una colonia llamada El
Pipila.
Con el propósito de cambiar nuestras
vidas y tener una nueva visión y meta en el ministerio, para hacer que otros
conozcan a Jesucristo, por supuesto para que la gracia de Dios sea mas
grande.
Recuerdo que empezamos los preparativos
en el mes de septiembre, la campaña se realizo del 22 al 24 de Octubre, a
medida que pasaban los días, me preguntaba, como vamos a realizarla no
tenemos el equipo adecuado, pero Dios manda sus bendiciones a través de
otros, mi colaborador en misión William Soldwisch, me comunico la venida de
nuestros amigos de Lake Grove PC en OR, y que deseaban ayudarnos, así que
con su ayuda se pudo comprar un equipo muy suficiente para la campaña y para
muchísimas mas, (por ello deseo darles mi mas profundo agradecimiento por su
visión y amor para la obra en la frontera aquí en Tijuana-San Diego)
En cuanto a la gente involucrada, la
congregación se esforzó bastante, pasa a paso vimos con animo que los
hermanos se involucraron en las distintas necesidades que teníamos.
¿Que ha pasado? Bueno con éxito nos
preparamos por un mes y medio en la pre-campaña, la campaña duro 3 días, y
ahora estamos gozosos recogiendo lo sembrado, se lograron convertir al Señor
Jesucristo algunos renovaron su fe, y muchos otros escucharon las
buenas nuevas de Cristo.
En medio de la tormenta de pequeños
contratiempos y algunos desánimos, la fe y la esperanza nos hizo seguir, y
el Señor guió nuestros pasos, después de 2 semanas de la campaña, visitamos
a los que aceparon a Cristo y les invitamos a venir a “las 5 noches con la
Biblia” donde estos estudios fueron de gran bendición.
Resultados: 7 nuevos estudios bíblicos
en casas, y una gran disposición de conocer a Cristo mas profundamente, por
ello deseo darle las gracias a todos aquellos que oraron y nos animaron, y
también a todos aquellos que colaboraron muy profundamente.
Mi mas grande estima para el Pastor
Matt Hilgaertner, el Pastor local Enrique Romero, Hnos Duane y Miriam y el
grupo de Lake Grove PC, Pastor Soldwisch y voluntario en Misión Jeremías
Howe que fueron grandes colaboradores para este evento dedicado a la gran
comisión que Jesús nos dejo.
Como deseo que ustedes puedan conocer
lo que Dios puede hacer en las vidas de aquellos que dedican su vida al
Señor Jesucristo, si tu estas leyendo esto, quiero decirte que el compartir
el amor de Cristo es una de las actividades mas intensas que puedas sentir
en tu interior, ya que Dios va llenando tu vida como un pozo que necesita
ser llenado, sin olvidar también las grandes satisfacciones que Dios da, al
ver las vidas de personas como tu y como yo, que son transformadas,
liberadas y llenas del Amor de Dios. Dios te bendiga.

What has happened this year? Where are we? What have
we done? Where are we going?
These questions come to my mind constantly. I know I am
probably not the only one but I would like to share with you some of the
blessing that have come to me during these last months. I hope in this I
might be able to answer the above questions.
We have planed and brought into fruition a formal
evangelical campaign in the Nueva Vida Church here is Tijuana in the
colony of El Pipila.
We planned this event for the many blessings that would
be reaped by it. It changed our lives. Many people who were formally timid
in sharing their faith broke new ground. It gave us a new vision. The
Church has a more united as we have become a more Christly presence in the
neighborhood. The level of ministerial outreach was raised. Others, those
outside of the normal Church circles came to know Christ. Yet, most of all
the grace and glory of God were displayed through it all.
I recall that we began preparation for this event in
September. The campaign was from the 22nd to the 24th
of October. As the days passed in preparation I asked myself how we are
going to fulfill our goal. We did not have the right equipment. But God
blessed us through others. My co-missionary William Soldwisch told me that
Lake Grove Presbyterian Church in Oregon desired to help in our activities.
So, with their help we were able to get a very sufficient sound system for
the campaign and for much more. (For this I would like to give them my
profound thanks for their continued vision and love for the ministry on the
US-Mexico border).
In regards to the people from the congregation that
were involved they worked hard. Step by step we grew closer in the vision
for the campaign. Members of the Church took on various responsibilities
and the work load was dispersed.
What has happened? Well, with success we prepared for
the campaign and in spite of some rain we had the outdoor event three of the
four days planned. Now we are joyful in that there is a harvest from this
effort to collect. Some gave their lives to Christ, others renewed their
faith, and many others heard the news of Christ Jesus.
After the campaign people were invited to continue with
us in the Church. We put on nightly seminars that we called, “Five nights
with the Bible.” These bible studies were of great blessing. Nightly six
of the people from the campaign gathered to study with the members of the
church the basic truths of the faith.
The result of these efforts is this: 7 new house bible
studies, and a great disposition to know Christ more. Thank you all who
prayed for this work and collaborated.
Also a great thanks to Pastor Matt Hilgaertner, Pastor
Enrique Romero, Duane, Miriam, and the Lake Grove group, Pastor Soldwisch
and Jeremiah Howe. You were great collaborators in the great commission the
Christ left us.
I hope for those of you who are reading this that you
might know what God does in lives for those who dedicate their lives to
Christ Jesus. I would like to tell you that sharing this love of Christ is
one of the most intense activities that you could experience. God will fill
you so that you might overflow. Let us be transformed, liberated and filled
with the deep deep love of Jesus. May the lord bless you.
