Rev. Rachel Anderson has joined Pueblos Hermanos from Atlanta Georgia. After
graduating from James Madison University in 1992, she began her
international life with six months in London. Since then she has continued
to live and work as if the boarders between nations and careers – in her
case, ministry and social work – do not exist. She has worked for the state
of Georgia with foster children, and several levels of long term residential
care for children and adolescence. Mixed with social work has been a career
of ministry; she has served in a variety of capacities in five different
PC(USA) churches.
Having completed Columbia Theological Seminary
her ordained ministry began with service as Residential Director at Tamassee
DAR School, a residential group home for children in South Carolina. Along
the way, her call to boarder issues has taken her as far as Jordan and
Pakistan. “I remain excited about what God is doing on the boarders of our
lives and our nations,” she explains.
She joins Pueblos Hermanos in April 2010,
after several months of language acquisition in Ensenada, Mexico. You can
